Cross Stitchify

A web app that turns an uploaded or linked photo into a cross-stitch pattern in up to 40 colours, matched to the nearest DMC threads, then animates the stitching on your choice of Aida fabric. Pick the speed and the stitch order (random, row by row, column by column or colour by colour), and get a thread list with symbols, stitch counts and skeins. Stitch it yourself turns the pattern into the real thing with a printable chart (Letter or A4, black-and-white or colour), a six-step how-to and a guided mode that works one thread at a time and saves your place. Light and dark themes, and uploaded images never leave the browser.
